Mentoring Sessions
with Ell

create a business that fits your life

What if you could learn from someone who's been there and done that? Someone who is experienced with camera settings, studio and natural light, and the systems that keep your business running smoothly?

A lot of photographers figure out their photography businesses alone, piece by piece, making expensive mistakes along the way - whether it's camera settings, setting up your business legally, managing finances, or getting your systems in place.

You want your photography to be your career but don't know where to start

What you get in the mentoring program

Six sessions designed to give you the foundation you need to start your photography business.

  • Session 1 (2 hours):  In-studio camera and lighting session (or online equivalent)
  • Session 2-3 (1 hour each):  Business foundations
  • Sessions 4-5 (1 hour each):  Bookkeeping setup
  • Sessions 6 (1 hour each):  Office systems and workflows

To avoid burnout, sessions are scheduled three weeks on and one week off.

Six-Session Mentoring Package $1297

You get seven hours of mentoring from someone who's built a photography business - camera, lighting, business setup, bookkeeping, systems, and everything in between.

Your first session is three hours.  You'll shoot with a professional model, see how I setup my studio lighting, and learn how to guide clients through choosing their photos over lunch or coffee.

Then you'll have five one-hour sessions where you'll walk through business setup, bookkeeping, and the systems that make things run smoothly.

You'll finish with a foundation.  Not just technical skills.  Not just a business on paper.  A business that works for you and fits into your life.

If you're local (American Fork, UT)

Your first session is two hours in studio.  We'll set up your camera, walk through your settings, and finish with a real photoshoot with a model.

Following sessions are one hour each.  You get to choose whether we meet in person or online via Google Meet.

01

If you're not local

We'll handle everything online via Google Meet.  Your first session will cover camera settings and lighting basics.  For the photoshoot demo, you'll receive a pre-recorded video showing my full setup and process.  You can ask questions, and we'll talk through how to apply it to your own space.

02

Sessions are three weeks on and one week off.  This rhythm keeps you moving forward without overwhelming you.  Learning and implementing new concepts without rest can lead to burnout, and that's not what we're trying to achieve with mentoring.

If you so choose, you can use your week off to work on concepts you've learned during our mentoring sessions, but it's not required.

The Schedule

03

After your first mentoring program, you decide:
  • Book another month of mentoring and keep building
  • Book individual sessions as needed at a set per-session rate
There is no pressure to buy more mentoring sessions and no long-term contract.  You're in control of what comes next.

What happens at the end of the program?
